Studio Upgrade

Hi very new to Ubuntu, I installaed Studio from the live view via USB . I am trying to upgrade to the latest version, I started this at 11pm (UK) last night (27th Oct) thinking it would be ok. Now just over 12 hours later it is roughly only 50% done.

Would any of you more experienced users think this has stalled If so what is the best cpousre of action.

or is it still running and need more time ?

I am very nsure what to do
any advice appreciated

I have done a number of upgrades and they just don't take that long. The 18.10 version of Ubuntu Studio (https://ubuntustudio.org/2018/10/ubuntu-studio-18-10-released/) has major changes, so it might be easier to perform a clean installation if you have backed up your content.
