HI, I have Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS running on Pentium CPU 2117U 1.80GHZ, 32-bit, I cant get Google Chrome Browser to install.

I'm very new to Ubuntu, I've tried Software Centre and Terminal installs, nothing works.

Thoughts?

thnx

Chrome is a Google app containing proprietary elements. Therefore, Ubuntu does not carry Chrome in its repos. You will not be able to install it. The FOSS equivalent is Chromium, which is available in the repos.

Google Chrome does not support 32-bit linux systems anymore.
(And hasn't for a few years now)

Google Chrome has gone 64-bit for its installer.
Even if you wanted to go to Google's Chrome page to add their package, it flat won't run on your system.

Chromium-browser is as close as you can get on a 32-bit install now.

Thnx Guys, appreciate the quick responses, I thought it may be the 32/64 bit issue.
