18.04 install issue

I'm having an issue with installing 18.04 LTS. When I try to boot from USB, it takes me to the installation options screen. Then when I select any of these options. I am taken to the splash screen and cannot proceed past that point to the actual insallation. It is funny because i have used Ubuntu on this laptop before. Take a look at the attached images I have.
