I just installed Ubuntu 18.04 on a Compal HEL80 Laptop. The only issue at this juncture is the brightness slider. It conflicts with the f4-f5 function keys for screen brightness. It moves to the low end on its own. Its jittery when trying to move it with the mouse. I've turned off "dim when inactive". The sound slider works as expected. Any ideas to resolve this issue are welcome.
