Hello All !

I am using a flash drive to install Kubuntu 18.04.1 onto another flash drive, both plugged into my desktop, using the live CD method.

Note, I am using universal-usb-installer 1.9.8.3 (Rufus wasn't cooperating today).

I am able to boot into the live CD through my boot menu, however when it loads up, and I hit the first option (Start Kubuntu, or something like that), everything goes black, and my monitor registers no signal.

I don't think it's a UEFI - disable secure boot issue, as I can get to that main boot menu that is the live CD. (Windows 10 on an old Win 7 Desktop - Gateway DX 4300 from 2009 ish).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance !

Presently, I have just Windows 10 installed on my HDD.

I just find it odd that I can get to the bootsplash of the live CD, but when I hit "Try Kubuntu" everything goes black and my cpu stop processing altogether.
