Re installation Ubuntu 18.04

Hi,

I upgraded from Ubuntu 16.04 to Ubuntu 18.04 week ago. And my internet is not working after upgrading, something DNS problem So even Forum is unable to find problem so i decided to reinstall Ubuntu 18.04 but now problem is I have created a boot able CD but I did not find option to boot my laptop with CD. I have dual operating system. So I went into Bios settings and set required options that i found in a website but i did not find option for booting from CD so my laptop is not booting from CD SO i need help how to reinstall Ubuntu 18.04?

Is CD really DVD? As Ubuntu now does not fit on CD.

Most of us use USB flash drives. I burned so many coasters (bad burns) that I only use flash drives, now.

Is system newer UEFI or older BIOS.
What brand, model system? And what video card/chip?
