Hello everyone
With a new HP Elitebook 1050 G1 on which I want to dual-boot Ubuntu alongside Windows 10, I have trouble with the 18.04 installer, likely due to ACPI issues - see thread Cannot run USB installer for Ubuntu 18.04 on HP Elitebook 1050 G1 (https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2400024).
Is it wise to attempt a workaround by installing 17.10 (which apparently works) and then upgrade to 18.04? Or would the upgrade to 18.04 likely run into the same ACPI issues?
Thanks!
