I just saw this & I hope this is the right place to suggest that this be considered for Ubuntu 7.0 or 8.0 cuz it's too late for Edgy.

It's just XGL/compiz with a touch screen. I'm sure you can already do that in dapper.

well - that is if you actually have a touch screen
most of us don't have it.

Goddamn stupid website...inline .wmv's. I honestly wish people would not post links with inline wmv's in them. I do not have the w32 codecs available to me, and can only play .wmv vids through gxine AFTER downloading them.

The trouble with that is.... then if you open a video thats installed on your machine it opens in FF and I dont want that... catch 22 I guess eh?
Of course not, why the hell it would want to do that. FF and nautilus/konqueor are separtate. And even if it want to do that, it's quite easy to change it with a right-click.

Yeah I think you're right, although I shudder to think what the going rate on a Linux friendly touch screen is! (plus to be worth the expense you'd really want the mother of large touch screens!)

Looks nice but I guess it's bad for your hand, not to mention it doesn't seem to be very accurate and after a while your hand will get tired.

The version number of ubuntu comes from the date it is released. Hence, dapper was 6.06 because it was released the sixth month of 2006.

That's what I meant 7.0 the Ubuntu(s) of 2007 or 8.0 the Ubuntu(s) of 2008.
Of course as pointed out by MAXXDARK & adam.tropic most of us don't have or likekly couldn't afford such a device.
