Hello. I've installed Xubuntu 16.04 first. Battery icon have been still shown. But when I've upgraded to Xubuntu 18.04, it is disappear from my desktop. Is there a way to show it in the desktop?

It should show in the panel if you have the Notification-Area in your panel.

I'm not near an Xubuntu at the moment, but I seem to remember seeing an option for the battery icon to only show when charging or discharging (i.e. hide when fully charged). Maybe that's it?

I have now just started my laptop with Xubuntu 18.04 and found that to show the battery icon in the panel you need to open power-manager-settings from the settings manager. In the general tab you can choose either to show or hide the system tray icon, an option that was not available in 16.04, as far as I can remember.
