upgrade Lubuntu from 14.04 to 18.04

I obtained this mini PC, it is called a Geekbox: https://www.geekbuying.com/item/GeekBox-Open-Source-Cross-TV-BOX-Android-Ubuntu-Dual-Boot-4K-RK3368-Octa-Core-2G-16G-AC-WIFI-1000M-LAN-BT4-1-HDMI2-0-OTG-358067.html . It came to me with Lubuntu 14.04 installed. I would like to upgrade it to Lubuntu 18.04, if that is possible.


Where can I find instructions to do this?
This mini PC does not have a CD/DVD drive, nor can it boot off of an connected USB drive. (I can't figure out how to access the bios.) So, the upgrade will have to be done via the terminal and off of the internet - correct?


(I tried getting help from the official forum for this device, but - there's no one there on that forum!!!! :shock: :icon_frown: )

You can try updating to 16.04 and then to 18.04. However, I would say that your chances of it being successful are very poor. Have you tried googling to see how to access the BIOS? That is going to be your best bet.

Thanks, but..... Your link was about an OS called "geexbox"; my question is about something different, a computer called GeekBox.
