cannot detect the external (second) screen

Could someone help me to detect second screen of display? I currently install ubuntu 17.10, but the interface is configure by KDE community. I also have a NVIDIA CARD GTX 1070 in my laptop, becuase something is centered my problems with this card.

The link does not work and the suggestion is not a good one.

Updating that way from an unsupported, possibly not fully updated, EOL release is likely a recipe for disaster.

Best to back up all important files and reinstall -- which can be done while preserving your /home directory.

The advice you followed was poor.

Back up your important files and do a fresh installation of 18.04.
