Will there be releases between the 9 months of the original releases?

There are major releases every April and October.
If you are asking about xx.yy.z releases like 18.04.1, there isn't any exact schedule that I know.
https://www.ubuntu.com/info/release-end-of-life is the best source of approximate information that I know.

I don't fully understand the question...

There are releases every 6 months, April and October (except when they get delayed, which happened just once, 12 years ago). The April releases in even years are LTS (long term support) releases. Regular Ubuntu LTS and Ubuntu server LTS releases have 5 years of support, other flavours 3 years. This gives 3 (or 1) year(s) of overlap with the next LTS release. The other releases (also known as interim releases) get 9 months of support, giving 3 months of overlap with the next. Upgrades are offered from any supported release to the next supported release.
