Profile Setup - Please Help

It asks me to create a profile but asks for my email address i used. It doesn't let me enter it and I can't go any further.280452

Sorry. I have no idea what "profile setup" is. Which release? Which DE? What program is running?
The only time I've been asked for any email address is when setting up access to an email server the first time I run the email client program.
