Starting out for the first using Ubuntu it's always a good idea to try dual booting first, that way if you don't really like Ubuntu or other distributions you always just remove Ubuntu and still have a working Windows OS, of course you will still have to reinstall the Windows boot manager to get it working correctly

How to dual boot Windows and Ubuntu, https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=24&v=x1ykDpSzpKU

I've haven't use Windows for sometime so things maybe a bit different but this might give you so insight on how to proceed https://www.howtogeek.com/133254/beginner-geek-how-to-reinstall-windows-on-your-computer/ if all else fails you can always try the MS forum for more help

You will also need a working installation disk for Windows to reinstall it

Hope this helps

You don't 'uninstall' operating system but rather software applications. The standard manner for replacing one OS with another would be to simply boot your windows install DVD and select to install windows which should overwrite your Ubuntu install and install windows.
