I was running Ubuntu under VMware 12 when I ran out of disk space. I decided to get (and make new donation) the latest which seems to be 18.04.
I totally deleted the VM and went about building a new one with a 100GB virtual drive.
The installation hung with the message "Verifying the installation configuration..."
Power off - Power on gets me back to the same thing
Shutdown Guest - Power on gets me back to the same thing
I have no idea what to do next?
