I tried running updates on my kubuntu 16.4.4 LTS today. It began installing updates on the GUI, but the updater eventually just hung.
I rebooted the machine, only to come across this issue from grub:
"end kernel panic - not syncing: vfs: unable to mount root fs on unknown block (0,0)"
I could get the machine back to the desktop by choosing an older kernel version, but I'd like to be running the latest.
Help?
