View Full Version : Install with two monitors

I've encountered an issue when it comes to installing Ubuntu on my laptop.

I use a two monitor set up (through HDMI), the second monitor is detected no problem, and a desktop appears when I start the Ubuntu install of my flash drive.

However, my laptop screen is completely damaged and is unusable.

But the install doesn't know that, and puts my monitor as an extended desktop.

Is there a way that I can get the install to appear on my monitor instead of my broken laptop screen? A keyboard short cut perhaps to switch to display mirror or something like that?

Interestingly enough, before the installer starts, the main Ubuntu screen where I select to try ubuntu or continue with install displays correctly on my monitor, but as I said, once the installer starts it just uses my monitor as an extended display.

Any suggestions?
