I am using a theme that is supposed to make the dock and top bar transparent. The top bar is transparent however the dock is mostly back, there is a slight transparency, but not the same as the top bar. I have tried using dynamic panel transparency and manually setting the backgrounds opacity but it is not working. I have noticed sometimes it does go transparent then it flickers back to black. I am on Ubuntu 18.04. Any advice would be great. Thanks

You can make the dock transparent with the dock to dash extension (not the crippled one bundled by Ubuntu, but the one you get from the website) So install gnome-tweak-tools (tool?) , remove the Ubuntu dash to dock (whatever they call it) Install dash to dock from the gnome extension website, then configure transparency from tweak tool. Even though I use unity in 18.04 I find the dynamic transparency feature in dock to dash pretty cool.
