Kodi wiped on upgrade from 17.10 to 18.04

Noticed my Kodi app gone post upgrade which seemed to complete without any obvious errors. Went into Ubuntu software to install Kodi 17.6 and the install started fine but crashed with the following error: "Unable to install Kodi: The following pages have unmet dependencies:" No pages are listed. All updates have been completed to date and performed a hail Mary re-boot - with the same result.

Perhaps best to install kodi from the kodi ppa.

Thank you - that worked perfectly. The upgrade wipe did not affect the Kodi Build I had installed and it re-appeared post install.
