Stuck with Old Unity UI

Hi.
I upgraded from Ubuntu 16.04 to 17.10 to 18.04 today, using software Updater. However, I am still stuck with the old User interface.

1) How can I get the new UI?
2) How can I check for other things that have not been upgraded?
3) My kernel version is 4.15.0-20-generic.

As to the login, do you have the old login screen or the new login screen

Thank you. it worked. I now have to fix other issues - right click is no longer working on my touchpad

It would be best to post a new thread about the touchpad issue, so those who would otherwise know about it can/will find it.

As for the right click issue it is a new feature not a bug but you can change the setting back to right click with one finger:
