View Full Version : Upgraded to 18.04 Mediatomb will not start

I have never had this kind of problem so I consider myself a novice with this.

Mediatomb is UnnP media server. I have run it without incident for at least three versions back. I would enter 'mediatomb' at the command line and it would start.

Now I get command not found.

The shell script is in: /home/stephen/backup/etc/init.d/mediatomb

Any help appreciated.

Ooops that is not the path. My backup.

I have to figure out the Linux equivalent to DOS's "path" commend

MediaTomb has been dropped in 18o4 so you probably have only a partial install.

https://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/net/mediatomb

I already had mediatomb installed under 17.10 and it worked fine.

Also, the Synaptic Package Manager continues to list mediatomb

That's odd
I do not see it in mine.
