I'am new with Ubuntu.
I installed Ubuntu 17.10 in dual boot with win7.
I'm able in Ubuntu to address and open separate files on my data disk but files in sub folders don't show. Get the message "Folder is emty" while in WIN files exist.
Applying Share folder doesn't change anything.
How to approach this?

Just a guess.

Is fastboot disabled in Windows? Windows doesn't completely close the file systems by default. https://www.howtogeek.com/243901/the-pros-and-cons-of-windows-10s-fast-startup-mode/ Win7+ all use something similar.

Microsoft has a habit of assuming it is the only OS on a computer.

Hibernate and Hybrid Sleep are disabled. Furthermore I can address some files but not in subfolders.

Are they simple/basic volumes or dynamic volumes or something else?
Just throwing out ideas.
