Hi, is it normal that with 18.04, using the key Print Screen, the picture is saved but automatically without the pop window asking the name wanted and which place to save

(within the title : sorry for (end instead of (and !!!!)

I think it depends on which distro or desktop environment you're using. With Ubuntu MATE 18.04, I still get the pop-up asking me for a file name and location.

That's a known bug - Ubuntu 18.04: PrtSc doesn't trigger gnome-screenshot (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-screenshot/+bug/1742443).

I tried the workaround described here (https://askubuntu.com/questions/961094/change-the-location-of-saved-screenshot-when-screenshot-taken-by-printscreen-but), but finally just added Screenshot to my Favorites in Ubuntu. Now, if I only need a quick screenshot of the entire screen, I click the Print Screen button and go hunting in my ~/Pictures folder for the result, but if I want the whole menu from gnome-screenshot, I click the Screenshot icon in my Launcher.

Well as another option to consider would be "Flameshot" for your Screen Shots: https://github.com/lupoDharkael/flameshot
I have made it my go to application, but that's my preference.
Very small learning curve, but highly functional. (Lacking add text though :()
