Greetings,

I have a GE72VR Apache Pro 7RF 418. I'm trying to install Ubuntu 18.04 with no success - removing quiet and splash from the boot screen reveals /dev/srv0 not found errors. Finally I'm dumped into initramfs, replug the USB stick and exit - then I get hard CPU lockups.

Trying to use other distros (such as Antergos) doesn't work either - hard and soft CPU lockups. Meanwhile windows 10 is chugging along happily.

Here (https://i.imgur.com/6tirgA5.jpg) is an example of a kernel panic after trying to boot into the live cd .

Here (https://i.imgur.com/TXcXcDd.png) is another error.
