I installed 16.04 on my workstation in Oct2016. I installed the OS on RAID 1 SSDs, using the recipe here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/SoftwareRAID

Now, I want to do another Ubuntu installation on a different machine, also on RAID 1 drives. I cannot find the alternate install ISO image that I used before.

I've tried 16.04 and 16.04.4 Desktop install images, but the install options are wildly different, and I got lost in the "Something Else" option of partitioning, where I can create partitions but there is not Guided option for the sizes in that path, nor does there appear to be a Software RAID option later.

If an alternate install ISO is no longer required (or supplied), then I need a newer recipe that explains how to partition the drives and install mdadm during install.

The only alternate ISO (https://lubuntu.me/downloads/) I know of is that of Lubuntu. Sadly Ubuntu shut down their alternate many releases ago.

You can still follow the guide with the Server install. Just install the desktop of your choice when done.

Thanks, nlee2. I needed that.
