Is there Ubuntu support or drivers for the Apple Mac Pro RAID card (Early 2009) A1247?

Yes I know it is slower than some 3rd party cards. It is what I have.

My fallback is to pull the card and use software RAID.

I seriously doubt it. An online search didn't turn up anything for me. Reasons being that Apple is and always has been extremely proprietary and closed with their software and also has a very small share of the home computer market and an even smaller percent of the commercial market. Therefore, no incentive for anyone to create software for it.

I've come to the same conclusion. It was worth asking. You never know what some ex-Apple contractor may have done in their spare time.

I just looked at the Apple RAID utility logs. The card threw a battery fail error on March 15. Without the battery backed write cache, it is almost useless. I doubt I can get a new battery. I'll pull the card and put it in storage.
