Hallo community O:)
I have the problem that after installing 16.04 on my Laptop (Gigabyte P57WV7-DE022T), the system doesn't boot.
Also at the end of the instalation the screen froze and I coudn't do anythig, not the mous or keyboard replied.

The screen froze when I pressed the restart button, when it said ,,restart the system to complete instalation''.
On my Desktop and the the same Laptop in VirtuelBox, the instalation worked fine.
I tried it many time also with 17.10. It always freezes and doesn't boot.

Can someone please help, i don't now how to fix the Problem :/
(Windows still works fine)

An image of the system trying to boot:

Please use the default font, font weight and color unless there is a compelling reason to draw attention to a particular part of your post. Even then, use non-default properties sparingly.

Also use the attachment facility provided by the paperclip in the toolbar above the text entry box for attaching images.

Many of our users work from mobile devices, have slow connections, or have data limits. Large images can be slow to download and may even cost people money. Let other users decide if they would like to view the image full-size.

Thanks.

It looks like that system has nVidia.
You probably need nomodeset boot parameter until you install a nVidia driver from Ubuntu repository.
Did you install in UEFI boot mode?

If UEFI, you press escape inbetween UEFI screen & grub loading. If BIOS it is hold shift key. But if UEFI fast boot on, you may not have time to press any keys.
At grub menu you can use e for edit, scroll to linux line and replace quiet splash with nomodeset.
How to set NOMODESET and other kernel boot options in grub2 - both BIOS liveCD & grub first boot ( also UEFI with grub)
How to add boot parameters, grub menu after install (also grub when UEFI)

EDIT: This seems to work for my card here, instead of using "nomodeset" I am using this "nogpumanager"
And I have to watch carefully any changes made to "/etc/X11/xorg.conf"

@oldfred
I think I installed with UEFI boot mode.
For the installation I used a usb stick I prepared with rufus portabel and I used the standard settings O:)
To install the system I pressed F12 and booted over the stick, then everything went as usual and I used ,,install ubuntu next to windows'' O:)

Thank you for your detailed reply ^^
I try your suggestions at the weekend O:)
