OK - dabbled with Linux off and on for years......but I am about to lose it.
I have a Surface Pro 3. I installed Kali on it to play with - no issues. I then tried Red Hat Fedora - no issues. I then installed Debian 9......and the problems started.
I can now not install any distro. I am trying over and over with several. I really want to install 18.04 as my distro of choice on the machine.....but same issue over and over - with all distros. GRUB will not install.
I have confirmed that Secure Boot is disabled. That is really the only UEFI related BIOS entry.
The installation always flakes out and says that GRUB cannot be installed.
HELP!
What can I look at? Logs? Stuff to post here? HELP!
