Cannot run install or Live CD from boot.

Initramfs unpacking failed: write error
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown wn-block (0,0)

I know nothing about Linux, sorry for being dumb.

Sounds like either a bad download or a bad burn.

Did you checksum the download? Did you burn at low speed?

What release (version) of Lubuntu are you installing? 16.04 or 17.10

The picture displays a BIOS from 2002. With which hardware are we dealing?

Yes, its a DVD. Sorry.

It wont boot on a modern windows 10 desktop either. Maybe bad disc. Grrrrrrrr.

It's not that hard to burn your own.

If you want to give it a try, just post back with any questions.
