Hi,

I find Linux much easier than Linux & Mac for installing, particularly due to our never huge enough repositories & scripts possibilities.

Share your thoughts ! What's your experience with Linux ?

Greetings

(I think this thread can be interesting for the development.)

Linux is intellegent in the design, and MAC's are pretty.

My MAC is like a hot chick with a great rack, and then I got to know her, or should I say the lack of her. I digress...

I couldn't agree more, the repository idea is one of the most fantastic ideas in linux. Do you guys remember when you used windows or MAC and you were looking for some software, so you looked on the internet and instead found viruses and porn instead???

I find it truely unbelievable that people still tolerate this. Not that we dont have to surf the internet for software, but its usually at sourceforge, etc.

And then.... when a new version of one or many pieces of software is released, your OS says "excuse me, I would like to give you the newest version, would you like that?". And then you say, "yes, please do that for me ubuntu, I would apprecite that." And then ubuntu says "You such a smart and kind person" and you say "I need more friends in my life". :D

Well I simply can't choose a winner over another. I prefer working with GNU/Linux distributions. Why? They are transparant, repository is just so easy and it's Open Source.

But when it comes to photo editing (which I don't do on amateur level) I really need a stable OS and the ability to run applications such as the whole Creative Suite. Mac OS X offers me a UNIX based solution with at least the benefits of the kernel and security / stability of the overall system.
