Hello,

I have currently 2 docks overlaying each other. How I can remove one of them? Thanks

Try setting the main top dock to autohide to see what the underside shows.
It's not clear at all it's doubled.
Looks like the effects of the wallpaper underneath to me.

(To set autohide go to Appearance >> Behavior and togle autohide launcher to On.
This will automatically hide the launcher)

I checked that already of course, but just so you can see here are the 2 docks.

What are you using? It seems like you have unity in Ubuntu 17.10 which ships with a new gnome based interface, maybe you can select gnome on login instead of unity?

Guys I have accidentally solved the issue.

I downloaded both the unity tweak tool as well the gnome tweak tool. When I selected a few options, enabling desktop icons and changing themes, suddenly the second menu disappeared.

I don't know why, but it has gone now. Thanks for all your help.

Glad you fixed it. Would you please mark your thread 'Solved' under Thread Tools at the top of the page? Thanks.
