View Full Version : [ubuntu] Broken Ubuntu Partition

This is sort of a long issue but I'll do my best to keep this brief.

I had Ubuntu 16.04.04 LTS installed on a separate partition on my Windows 10 laptop
One day grub was no longer appearing on bootup and I was taken straight to Windows
To correct this I deleted my partition from Windows Disk Manager and attempted to reinstall the LTS version of Ubuntu
With the ISO on a USB I go to boot my computer through the USB but when I select boot or install from USB I get a GRUB error saying "Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported".
I tried converting the same USB to a recovery stick to reinstall Windows 10 but my machine still recognized it as "Ubuntu" and not "RECOVERY" and took me to GRUB with the same error.

Any suggestions as to how I can either delete GRUB and start the Ubuntu install fresh OR get Ubuntu back on my computer without deleting GRUB?
