change windows control button (close/maximize/minimize) action

Hi

I'm currently use Ubuntu 16.04; and going to customize Unity a little bite, including running an script when one clicks close maximize minimize button on the border. but I couldn't figure out where is exactly command files (sorry I don't know the technical terms but in Linux everything is file).

Probably not a trivial task. I guess this will require going into source code and recompiling the relevant part of the system yourself. More feasible will be to attach your script to a key combination, so you can trigger the script with a hotkey.
