hey I dunno if this is the right place to post it if not please move it :D

anyways, lately i've been wanting to try out Arch and Slackware, but I only got my laptop right now, is there an easy way to try them w/o having to back up all my current data?

TIA

VMWare is your best bet! Grab the VMware server from www.vmware.com. It's totally free, and lets you install operating systems to a file that is treated as if it were a hard disk.

No mess to clean up, just delete the folder.

Of course, some of the distros you come across may also have LiveCDs.
