Apache/2.4.18 (Ubuntu) / Database client version

First i am sorry for my english.
Second i am sorry if i post in wrong thread, please moderators remove or delete if i post something wrong.

I am for the first time in Ubuntu. i dont understand nothing about Ubuntu, just some commands, beacuse i have VPS ubuntu installed.
i have one problem, i have installed php5.6, but on my phpmyadmin i have mysql version 5.0.11 like this

Apache/2.4.18 (Ubuntu)
Database client version: libmysql - mysqlnd 5.0.11-dev - 20120503 -
PHP extension: mysqli
PHP version: 5.6.33-1+ubuntu16.04.1+deb.sury.org+1

problem is beacuse some pages doesnt work on 5.0.11
and now i want to change or upgrade this Database client version: libmysql - mysqlnd 5.0.11-dev - 20120503 --from 5.0.11 to 5.6.33

I need to change this Is that possible, if is possible, please can anyone help me how

and yes...if somene say to ask support, i cant ask support bcz i dont have support, also google to watch, i watch on google all videos but cnat find

Hi, welcome to the fora.

This is really old software. Are you sure that you want to upgrade and not do a fresh install? How old is the operative system?

i have ubuntu 16.04,and i dont have problem wiht ubuntu, i have problem with this Database client version: libmysql - mysqlnd 5.0.11-dev - 20120503 -
this 5.0.11 make me big problems :D
i want to upgrade to 5.6.33
but i really dont know how

Sorry, I haven't used LAMP much and don't know how to upgrade it.
