Found two excellent websites for beginners to Inkscape.
Inkscape User Manual (http://www.inkscape.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?UserManual)
Inkscape: Vector Graphics For Linux (http://www.linuxplanet.com/linuxplanet/tutorials/5757/1/) - a tutorial at LinuxPlanet.com

I'd like to know, where the heck is inkscape 0.41??

Its in Debian Unstable, but its not in Hoary anywhere.

Dear Mr. Ubuntu, thanks for making a great OS, it must have taken you ages. But please, please [-o< include inkscape 0.41 in the repositories.
