am currently running Ubuntu 16 on my modest little HP Stream laptop. a two-part inquiry:

1. what's the easiest way to upgrade to 17.10?

2. I really need to run iTunes / Apple Music on the laptop. I once took a look at the steps involved on Ubuntu 16, and it seemed really difficult, way above my skill level. Is it possibly any easier to get iTunes / Apple Music running on Ubuntu 17.10?

Thanks for any feedback! (And Happy Snow Day to any New Yorkers who may be reading this!)

As far as iTunes goes I'm not sure how to get that install or better yet is it even possible

But if your looking to install 17.10 I feel a clean installation is the best way to go, avoid the headaches that come with trying to upgrade within the system

thanks ! I was able to upgrade to 17.10, without a problem (at least not so far) so thanks for that.

has anyone reading this ever tried to install iTunes on Ubuntu 17.10? Does anyone have any firsthand experience if it's even possible?

thanks for any suggestions!

PS: I found this wiki step by step guide, and they advise using WINE - I am not familiar with that platform. Does anybody have any experiences with WINE?

Not sure how much this will help but it's worth a look https://askubuntu.com/questions/414737/how-do-i-install-itunes-on-ubuntu

thank you.

follow up question, it says "PlayOnLinux is a graphical tool supplementing Wine."

does that mean that I also need to install WINE, meaning that I need to install both PlayOnLinux and also WINE as well? (hopefully it's worth a shot....)
