Mint Desklets on ubuntu ?

Hello, I like the mint desklets and I was wondering if we can have those desklets on Ubuntu. Is there a way to install it ?

You might get it to work if you're using the cinnamon DE but without that I suspect there is little chance. It is also possible that there may be so many other dependencies available only from the mint repos that it will not be possible.

I can not find a package by that name in the ubuntu repos so if you like them so much why not use Mint itself?
