Been trying to install Ubuntu Desktop 16.04.3 LTS alongside Windows 10 for the first time (never worked with any Linux systems before), but to no avail. I've attempted several times, through several methods, and nothing seems to have worked. I've followed through the method on the official Ubuntu help page for creating a bootable USB (https://tutorials.ubuntu.com/tutorial/tutorial-create-a-usb-stick-on-windows) as closely as humanly possible, but whenever I begin the actual boot process, I get the following screen (this is going through the UEFI option on the boot menu):

And when I use the non-UEFI option, I get this:

I've tried using UNetbootin, as well as Universal USB Installer, and neither have worked. I've downloaded the ISO file multiple times in case of errors in the file, but the result has not changed. Anyone able to help?

PC Specs:
-MSI GTX 970 4G Graphics card
-MSI 970 Gaming Motherboard
-AMD FX8350 CPU
-8GB RAM
