My 17.04 installation on a Dell 5150 occasionally freezes the screen and then does not respond to any key,
In normal operation, Ctl+Alt+F1 will initiate a command line with F7 returning to the desktop.
When the screen is frozen, these keys, and all the classic recovery combinations that I can find, don't work either.
The only response is a power off/on cycle, with nothing in the subsequent logs that I can find.
Can I assume that when LXDE locks up, there are no keys detected ?
Is there any way to check if the kernel is still operating when the screen is frozen ?
