Hi,

after a new install of artful-desktop-amd64_20171018.iso with USB stick, the installation process stops before the usual request "remove installtion medium and hit Enter". Instead, I see on the black screen, maybe, 10 or more error lines such as

[1088.458777 SQUASFS.error: unable to read fragment cache entry [2e764ce3]
[1088.458829 SQUASFS.error: unable to read page, block 2e764ce3, size bedec
Nothing happens then, even after 10 minutes. Frustrated I switch the Notebook off, pull the stick, switch on again. Ubuntu 17.10 starts, everthing seems to be ok. This happened two times. The SHA256 sum of the iso is ok.

Now I wonder, for a future new install, should I switch off the computer while the stick is still in, as I did, or would it be better to pull the USB stick first?

Never before did I have this problem with previous version of Ubuntu. What could be the problem? These lines look similar to those shown in https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SquashfsErrors. Unfortunately, I am not versed enough to understand the explanations fully.

Thanks,
