I had a Chromebook about a year ago that I sold on Ebay for $100. I took the $100 and added $100 to it and bought a used Dell 2-1 Laptop. The first thing I did was to change out the hard drive for a SSD (64 gig for about $20) and put in a $7 wifi card with bluetooth. Next I added more memory. (4 gig to 8gig) for about $50. I then installed Ubuntu Linux on it and it is running great and boot up in about 15 seconds. So if you total it all up I have $277.00 in a nice little 11" 2 and 1 laptop with over 10 hour battery life.

EDIT: I forgot to mention it has a touchscreen and it works great with Ubuntu.
