Oh, and the one video on Ubuntu brought back memories when I first got into Ubuntu Linux back in 2005. It's hard to believe it is going to be 13 years that I have been using Ubuntu Linux. Even though I changed desktops, I kept the same distro on my main computer.

All depends on the size of the team, and their dedication as well as the size of the community and their dedication. Slackware for example has a small team that is very dedicated, and a large community that is very dedicated so it has remained for 24 years.... Crunchbang on the other hand had a small team that became less dedicated and a decent size community that was dedicated so it crashed and burned but was forked by the community. Corporate backing helps, but dedication from team and community is more important I think.
