problems making xterm readable, and cannot copy from terminal

Recently revived an Acer Aspire One, and tried to post specs from it. Terminal now has a white background, with inxi using light colors.
I can't copy, as the right click does nothing and ctrl+c just showing up on the command like as "^c"

Use Ctrl+Shift+c to copy and Ctrl+Shift+v to paste in terminal.
