View Full Version : [ubuntu] Create swap partition after full 17.10 installation

Hello, I'm new with Linux so please bare with me.
I've already installed Ubuntu 17.10 in an empty hard drive with no swap partition.
I've read that it's better to have one.Can I create one(swap partition) after the full
installation or do I need to format the whole hard drive and re-install with more options(something else etc.)?

Not needed as you should have a swap file already set.
Ubuntu changed from creating a swap partition to simply creating a swap file.
Which is just as good.
