Hi, recently I bought lenovo Y520 laptop with no OS installed initially. I failed to install Ubuntu because it seems that installator can't see any hard drive on this machine. I found on the internet that RAID configuration must be changed to ACHI but how can I do that since there is no OS installed?

Any help would be much appreciated! I should mention that my technical understanding is limited, so I would appreciate if answerers could explain everything in sufficient detail.

Solved it by entering BIOS and changing configuration to ACHI.
