For the first time in 72 years a cab driver punched in "Seniors Rate" when I hopped in a cab yesterday. He didn't even ask, just punched it in. Is that rude? He could have at least asked, even if just to make me feel good.

Why on Earth would a cab driver had done this for you 72 years ago? I do not understand your point. If you are upset that you got a discount then just give a bigger tip.
