Hello all, we are unable to open up an xfce session upon connection through xrdp. The connection is from a server to a desktop containing Ubuntu 17.04 with xfce as the window manager. We are able to ssh to the remote desktop and port 3389 is open (we are able to telnet the port successfully).
So, we are led to believe that the problem lies with the the window manager. When connection is established, the error "Unable to contact settings server Failed to connect to socket /run/user/1000/bus: Connection refused" is shown (attached).
Thank you for the help!
