If I install it, the system hangs trying to access the WiFi adapter. If I try and run without installing, the system never comes up. Instead it is hung in a loop trying to initialize WiFi. The 16.04 release works fine. Outside of waiting for the next LTS release next year are there any solutions?

It doesn’t matter if I attempt an “upgrade” to an existing system or a new install from a tumb drive. Either work on my XPS 13. A renstall from a recovery thumb drive brings 16.04 up without a problem.
