Lost my docks in 17.10 on MacBook Pro.

I only have Applications and Places in the top line, with drop down menus. Open applications names appear on a bottom line. It is weird
How do I get the docks back?

Problem solved - I had somehow switched out of Xorg during log-on. Follwoing instructions to click on the cogwheel during logon, I could select ubuntu Xorg again..
